Program Reports

Since JA Zimbabwe was founded in 1998, its programs have served as a catalyst in bringing real world business knowledge and hands-on experience to young people.  Since its inception, JA Zimbabwe has impacted the lives of many youth around the country. JA is recognized in the country as the expert in providing experiential business entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness education to young people. JA Zimbabwe is a member of JA Worldwide which was founded in 1919 and has reached over 10 million young people in 103 countries in 2019 alone.

Demand for JA Zimbabwe programs continues to grow around the country. Core content around work skills, entrepreneurship and financial capability have never been more relevant. As an organization dedicated to educating young people about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs, JA Zimbabwe is uniquely qualified to meet this growing demand. Through our programs, we prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which makes their communities more robust, and how to look for and keep a job in the workplace. Young people put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities. For example, surveys conducted with JA Zimbabwe alumni show that those who participated in the JA Company Program are three times as likely as their peers to start a business later on in life. Of those over the age of 29, 26% become entrepreneurs.
