JA ZIMBABWE HELD ITS FIRST VIRTUAL COMPANY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION (COY)

On the 8th of February 2021 JA Zimbabwe held its first ever virtual Company of the Year Competitions. The event was hosted on zoom and aired on Facebook. Students submitted a Power Point Presentation, Company reports, and a four minute video pitch presentation about what their businesses are all about. The theme of the competition was ‘Lead to Succeed’.

9 schools across the country participated on the event and were judged by our esteemed judges. These include Kriste Mambo, St Faith, Goromonzi High, Mother Touch Group of Schools, Eveline High, Mpopoma High, St Davids Bonda, Direct Contact and St Dominics High. The event was graced by various Partners, Donors, Board members, Staff, Students and Parents.

P-Tuim Holdings from Goromonzi High School emerged as winners of the 2020 COY Competition with their education platform to help students to access resources online. JAZ Apex were the 1st runners up from St Faith’s High School, Manicaland for their online application that helps people buy fresh farm products. Cradle Enterprises from Eveline Girls High emerged 2nd runners up for developing a hydroponic agriculture system.

P-Tuim Holdings went on to represent JA Zimbabwe at the Regional Company of the Year Competitions that were being hosted by JA Eswatini. The competitions were done virtually on the 25th to the 27th of March 2021.
