Junior Achievement Zimbabwe (JA Zimbabwe) is celebrating 20 years of inspiring young Zimbabweans on the 4th of October 2019 at Holiday Inn in Harare.
The celebrations are running under the theme “Success, Inspiration and Enterprise Education”.
Expected guests to grace the dinner celebrations include JA alumni, staff, government authorities, board members, partners, sponsors as well as students.
The non- profit making organization that instills entrepreneurial and business skills among young people was formed in 1999 under the guidance of Debra Stinton.
Since its inception JA Zimbabwe’s mandate has been to reduce the unemployment rate which is estimated to be around 90-95% through its various programs. JA Zimbabwe began implementing the Junior Achievement Company Program to form 3s and 5 students in Kadoma.
Over the past years at least 400 000 young people have had a Junior Achievement experience either in a school setting or out of school. Many of those have gone on to develop themselves and even contribute to the society.
In that process we have been inspiring young people to think like an entrepreneur at every stage of their lives!!!
